Data is gathered from a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station in Mt. Sinai New York, approximately 55 miles east of New York City on Long Island's north shore (just east of Port Jefferson harbor).

Are you getting the most current information?  Watch the time and dates! Weather station data updates every ten minutes.  Data from NWS and other sources update at different rates.  Use your browser's refresh or reload button, especially with the forecasts.

We're operational on both www.msweather.org and www.msweather.net. The .org site is hosted remotely, with the .net site hosted locally on a Sun Cobalt Qube. Keep it in mind, and if one site goes down, the other hopefully will remain up.
